Despite the common notion that buying a house can be stressful, I did not encounter any stress expected throughout the process from beginning to end as far as the "controllable" things with Marquesa, lending, and closing. Being a first-time home buyer with no prior knowledge about the subject, I decided to work with Marquesa based on a previous encounter several years ago. I appreciated her non-pushy demeanor and provided my contact information with the intention of reaching out when ready. Despite knowing two other reliable Realtors personally, I ultimately chose Marquesa due to her consistent communication and genuine interest in my well-being. She would send holiday cards, invitations to events with no obligations, and emails with market updates without being intrusive. Even though I did not purchase a home for three years, she remained helpful and kind whenever I had any questions. I was impressed by her responsiveness when I called her randomly to see a house. She arranged for me to view the property within hours. Again, after that, she did it with 3 other houses! She arranged to see it within hours, gave her personal and professional feedback to my thoughts. Once I decided on the house, she didd the offer within hours and negotiated hard on my behalf. I have later come to understand, all the things that the seller agreed to hardly EVER happens. They accepted our counter offer, however, Marquesa asked if they will not come down the extra $5,000, there were several things I was interested in that were already in the home such as a trampoline, pictures, curtains, patio furniture on the deck and balcony, security system equipment (to include base, all sensors and cameras) asked for a 2 year home appliance warranty and 10 year roof warranty (to name some) and the the seller agreed to everything. She also coordinated with the seller's agent to allow me to see it multiple times before closing within hours of the request. There were a few issues that arose 48 hours before the closing, which threatened to derail the deal. Marquesa went above and beyond to resolve the issues by working tirelessly behind the scenes with her contacts, the seller's agent, and even visiting the property herself. Her efforts ensured that the closing went smoothly, even though it required her to put in extra effort and rearrange her schedule. Despite my occasional impatience and irritation (due to things outside of Marquesa’s control), Marquesa remained calm and committed to providing the best possible service. She demonstrated excellent communication skills and kept me informed every step of the way through daily updates via email, text, and phone calls. Her vast network of professionals in the industry also helped streamline the process. Marquesa's knowledge and patience made her a pleasure to work with. Marquesa was absolutely phenomenal to work with. Despite living in a different state, and international trip, and numerous other difficulties, she worked tirelessly to help me find a house that I loved. Her knowledge and ability to ask pointed questions help us both narrow down what I was searching for, and her experience helped secure the house despite a multiple-offer situation. Not only did she help to find a house, she also offered great insight and advice on the local area. She made a first-time buyer feel very comfortable and the whole home buying experience much easier than I would have previously guessed.
